Question 6 What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this media product

During the process i came across various types of technology that assisted me in the creation of my media product.

At the start of the course I had a lot of knowledge about word and power-point during this course i began to become more familiar with blogger. Overall i found blogger push easier to use as well as this unlike word and power-point it an online program meaning i would not have to save it on usb or worry about losing my work. Blogger would also allow me to share my work on a group blog making it easy for use to all have access too.

After i became familiar with blogger i was also introduced to prezi this was something i was not use to but once i got used to it not only did i use it for media but also for my other subjects such as business this is because prezi would allow you to get your message across though in a more visual method that is creative and fun.
In order to film we was able to use a standard tripod this tripod allow us to add stability that would enhance the imaginary.  As i was in charge of the process of editing i used a app called final cut pro x it was extremely easy to use and helped me get my production together

In conclusion all of the items named above would have played a great role in the construction of my media product.

Question 7Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt in the progression fro,m it to the full product. 

Looking back at my preliminary task i feel as i have gained much more experience than i had expected. This is because at the beginning of the year i came into the subject with only GCSE knowledge of media and now have learnt so much such around technology.

 I also came across media terminology that i had not come across in GCSE such as the '180 rule', i also learnt the importance of research and planning and how when making a product it does not always go as plan.

I also learnt that research is the key element in producing a film as you would have to know who your audience is going to be, what your audience would be interested in and much more.

As well as this i realised timing is vital as if timing is left to the last minute then your product would not be of the best quality it could be, adding to this when working in a group you would have to have good communication in order to allow everyone in the group to have different roles rather then one person doing it all.

I have learnt a lot from this course but one of the thing i learnt was to never leave your work to the last minute this is because you would end up having to catch up with a lot of work but also when catching up with this work the quality of your work would suffer as the time and effort is no longer put into the work due to you rushing it.

I found that i am more of a visual learner this is because i found myself learning best then presented with the work visually rather than written. This would have effected my work in number of ways such as i struggled with learning when it was more verbally then physically.

Another thing i learnt was how to upload videos to youtube, it did not seem as easy as it sounded at first, adding to this i learnt how to make your video not visible to the public this would then make it difficult for people to view your video and allow you two post on youtube privately.

Overall thought the process of this subject it has built my confidence but also allowed me to learn skills that i can take forward in other subjects. The subject has also allowed me to gain more confidence but also learn the importance of working in a team and how to deal with different situations that can occur.
